What is Micro-shading?

Micro-shading is a permanent make-up procedure for the eyebrows that uses a hand held device to deposit pigment into the skin mimicking hair to achieve fullness and shape. The process will give you a natural, smudge proof, water proof look that should last 9-12 months depending on proper after care instructions, sun exposure, and environmental elements. The treatment is typically a 2 step process. The 1st appointment is the initial application and 4-6 weeks later the 2nd appointment will be touch up to make sure the color retention is great ensuring the longevity of the brows.

DOES IT HURT?

Pain tolerance can vary from client to client however, two types of numbing creams are used to ensure your comfort level. One is used before we get started and the other is used after we have started to microblading service. Other clients have stated it feels similar to plucking a brow hair that is stubborn to come out.

PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

Stop using any skin thinners such as vitamin A, glycol acids, or Retin-A.  Botox or fillers need to be done 30 days prior. Do not consume alcohol, caffeine, blood thinners (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or Niacin within 48 hours before the service. Doing so could promote excessive bleeding which could effect the results).

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT

A topical anesthetic is applied while you complete the consent forms. Next, we will design your brows together giving you a shape to enhance your bone structure and facial features. Then we discuss the colors you currently use to fill in your brows and go over a few pigment options together to ensure your brows match perfectly! Finally, we start the microblading service.

HOW LONG WILL THE SERVICE TAKE?

Depending on the desired look, it will take one and one half to two hours to complete a full set ~ a lash fill will take approximately one hour.
